June 11 the North America-hosted international football tournament will officially kick off. As one of the host countries, Mexico will welcome a large influx of football fans, putting immense operational pressure on the urban public transport system. To support mobility needs and local low-carbon goals during this period, 800 new energy buses have been deployed as part of local public transport operations.

Since entering the Mexican market in 2018, Yutong has continued expanding its presence in local transportation, with nearly 2,000 vehicles currently operating across the country. Among them, nearly 1,000 vehicles are located in the three cities hosting tournament-related activities in Mexico. In Mexico City alone, more than 700 electric buses serve local public transport operations.

During this period, multiple Yutong models will provide mobility support across different scenarios. The E9 and E12PRO electric buses help serve urban transport networks. The 12-meter and 18-meter dual-source trolleybuses connect metro systems, BRT networks, and commuter routes. Within BRT systems, 18-meter articulated buses and 26-meter bi-articulated electric buses support high-capacity and efficient public transportation needs.

To ensure stable vehicle operation, Yutong has set up a 35-member support team with cross-border, cross-regional and interdisciplinary expertise. The team works in 24-hour shifts and conducts two routine inspections on vehicles every day, covering over 100 test items, delivering full-cycle support and rapid response for local transportation services.

This marks the third consecutive time Yutong has delivered travel support for local residents during major international football events. With safe, reliable, eco-friendly and efficient mobility solutions, Yutong keeps creating pleasant and green travel experiences for people across Mexico.
